How to quadruple your chances of success

I'm a big Dave Ramsey Fan - read all the books, followed the program, listen to the radio show (and have even called in a few times for advice). If you didn't know, Dave Ramsey is in the business of personal finance - helping people get out of debt, build wealth, etc. He often interviews millionaires on his show. This is one of my favorite bits, as I find it very inspiring, and learn a lot about real-world successful people. On one of these shows focused on wealth, I learned something shocking - that immigrants to the US are 4 times as likely to become millionaires as those who were born in the United States. The data is shocking, but the explanation is simple. These are people that have a positive attitude - they perceive that the land they're moving to is a land full of opportunity. They also have the additional do-or-die mentality of chasing it with everything they have. After all, they moved to an entirely different country to have a better life. In learning the facts and thinking through the "why", I realized that immigrants don't have a magic wand. The magic they're using is available to every single one of us. Whether you want to call it the power of belief, the magic of thinking big, positive mindset, or something else - the ATTITUDE of winning, of believing something positive is on the horizon is a belief available to us all. It's not a coincidence that the most successful people bend over backwards to stay positive. It's one of the most powerful tools we can wield to get us to where we want to be. So stay positive folks - the same power that makes one group 400% more likely to achieve financial success is available to everyone. Let's make it happen.
